He is now serving the remaining six years of his 20 year sentence at the Coleman Federal Correctional Institution in Sumterville, Florida.
Shorter will only be able to hear his voice, along with the occasional automated message: “THIS CALL IS FROM A FEDERAL PRISON.” Noel Arnold lived in Patterson, Georgia - just two towns away from Shorter’s family in Waycross - before he was incarcerated in 2011.
